How to write a resume for Naukri and LinkedIn that recruiters find
On Naukri and LinkedIn, recruiters search by job title, skills, location and notice period. If your profile and resume do not use those words, they never see you. A few careful edits can change how often you appear.
Write a headline recruiters search for
Use the job title you want, plus two or three key skills, for example Digital Marketing Executive | SEO | Google Ads. Avoid vague headlines such as Hardworking professional.
Fill the fields that recruiters filter by
Search filters decide who is shown, so complete them.
- Current and expected location, and willingness to relocate.
- Total experience in years and months.
- Notice period, and whether it is negotiable.
- Key skills: list the exact tools and technologies you use.
- Current and expected salary range if the site asks for it.
Keep the uploaded resume ATS friendly
Upload a one- or two-page PDF or Word file with standard headings and no tables. The same resume is read by software before a recruiter sees it, so plain structure helps.
Update the profile every few weeks. Sites rank recently active profiles higher.
Tailor for each application
Change your summary and skills to match the job post when you apply. A tailored resume takes a few minutes with a tool and is read more often than a generic one.
