AI resume optimizer: match your resume to the job

See which skills from a job post your resume already shows and which it misses, then rewrite your summary and bullets to fit, using only what is true about you.

Start with a free keyword check

Paste a job description and your resume text, or upload a PDF or DOCX. The free checker lists the skills it recognised in the job post, marks which ones appear in your resume, and flags layout problems such as missing contact details or unusual headings.

Then tailor with suggestions you control

Inside the resume editor, you can paste a job description and get AI-written suggestions for your summary, bullet points and skills. Each suggestion is a draft for you to accept, edit or ignore.

  • Missing skills are shown so you can add the ones you genuinely have.
  • Suggestions are instructed not to add jobs, tools or qualifications you did not enter.
  • Your resume and the job text are treated as data, never as instructions to the AI.

What the score means

The score is an estimate based on ResumeAI's own checks: skills matched, layout readability, section completeness and how bullets are written. It does not predict whether a specific company's ATS will shortlist you, and different employers configure their systems differently. Use it as a to-do list, not a verdict.

Questions

Does the free checker use AI?

No. The free check is a rule-based scan of the text. AI suggestions are part of the signed-in resume editor.

Will it add skills I do not have?

No. It points out gaps and drafts wording around what you have told it. Adding a skill you lack is your decision and not recommended.

Is my resume stored when I use the free checker?

No. The text is read in memory to produce the report and then discarded.
